Adults only

Riposte is intended only for people aged 18 or over. In these standards, a child means anyone under 18. We do not knowingly permit children to create or use accounts. If we learn that an account belongs to a child, we will restrict or close it and take appropriate steps concerning its data and any safety risk.

Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation

We prohibit child sexual abuse material, grooming, sextortion, trafficking, sexualisation of children, solicitation of sexual content or contact from a child, and any other conduct that exploits, abuses, or endangers a child. This prohibition covers voice, text, profile information, links, altered or generated material, and off-platform conduct that uses Riposte to facilitate harm.

A user must never create, possess, request, share, threaten to share, or direct another person to child sexual abuse material through Riposte. Claims that material is fictional, altered, or generated do not make exploitative content acceptable.

How to report a concern

Use the in-app report control whenever possible or email [email protected]. Identify the account or content and describe the concern without downloading, copying, or forwarding suspected abuse material. The designated contact below is able to act on urgent child-safety reports.

Immediate risk: contact local law enforcement or emergency services first. Riposte is not an emergency service.

How we respond

We assess reports promptly according to risk. We may remove or disable access to content, restrict or close accounts, preserve relevant evidence, and take steps to protect affected people. Where law requires, we report apparent child sexual abuse and exploitation to the competent authority or designated reporting body. This may include the UK National Crime Agency's CSEA reporting service, the US National Center for Missing and Exploited Children's CyberTipline, or the appropriate body for another country.

We comply with valid legal requests and preserve only the information reasonably necessary for an investigation, reporting duty, or safeguarding purpose.
