Riposte is for adults
You must be 18 or over to use Riposte. It enables voice discussions with friends and people you may not know. Users choose their own subjects, so conversations may include strong language, disagreement, and mature themes. An 18+ requirement does not mean every kind of adult content is allowed. Our community standards still apply.
How age eligibility works
Before account creation, Riposte asks for a date of birth through a neutral age screen and does not prefill an eligible answer. If the date shows that a person is under 18, account creation is refused. Where an app store or operating system provides an age-range signal, Riposte may also use it to apply the correct protections.
We set the store age rating and target audience for adults and use platform controls that restrict access by minors where available. Store and device controls supplement Riposte's own age check rather than replacing it.
Do I need to provide ID?
We do not routinely ask adults for identity documents. We may request proportionate additional information if there is a credible concern that an account belongs to someone under 18 or if law requires a stronger check. An under-age account may be restricted or closed, and its data will be handled in line with our privacy policy.
