Terms of use

1. Your agreement with us

These terms govern your use of Squabble, a service provided by SOUVENIR LABS LTD, company number17370314, registered in England and Wales. By creating an account or using Squabble, you agree to these terms and our community standards. Our privacy policy explains how we process personal data. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use Squabble.

2. Adults only and account responsibility

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement. Give accurate account and age information, keep your device and sign-in codes secure, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You may not transfer an account or create one for someone else. You are responsible for activity through your account unless it results from our failure to use reasonable care.

3. Account access, recovery, reset, and deletion

Squabble offers guest access and phone-number sign-in. A guest account should not be treated as recoverable on another device until you link a phone number. Signing in with the same verified number returns you to the same Squabble account. Changing the number requires verification of both the current and new numbers. If a number already belongs to an established account, Squabble opens or preserves that account rather than silently merging two profiles.

For a phone-verified account, Start fresh resets profile presentation, friends and discovery choices, matching and notification preferences, personalisation, and pending requests. It keeps the account, verified phone, Squabble+ entitlement, completed shared content, safety history, age and required policy-acknowledgement records, and a record of the reset. It is not account deletion.

You may request permanent account deletion at any time through profile settings or ouraccount-deletion page. Access ends when the request is accepted and deletion then completes as described in our privacy policy. Account deletion is irreversible and Restore Purchases cannot recover deleted Squabble content.

4. What Squabble provides

Squabble lets adults take part in voice debates and discussions with friends or matched participants. Features may include transcription, summaries, scores, outcomes, matching, invitations, reactions, and style insights. Some features require both participants to complete a step before the conversation can continue or conclude.

5. Free use, rewarded ads, and Squabble+

Squabble may provide a free weekly judgment allowance. The current allowance and reset timing are shown in the app and may change prospectively. Once the available allowance is used, the next judgment is not processed unless you complete an available rewarded-ad option for that judgment, subscribe to Squabble+, or receive another valid unlock. One completed rewarded ad unlocks only the judgment identified when the ad is offered. Ad availability is not guaranteed.

Squabble+ is an auto-renewing monthly or annual subscription. It provides unlimited judgments and removes ads while the entitlement is active. The app displays the store's local price, billing period, and material offer terms before purchase. Payment is charged to the Apple App Store or Google Play account that confirms the purchase, and the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel through that store before its renewal date. You can manage or cancel it from the Squabble+ page or directly throughApple orGoogle Play.

A verified phone number is required before purchase or restoration so the Squabble account and its access can be recovered on another device. The Apple or Google payment account is separate from the Squabble account and is not a Squabble sign-in method. Restore Purchases verifies a purchase through the same store account and may attach or transfer a valid entitlement to the current phone-verified Squabble account. Restoration does not combine profiles or recover content from a deleted account.

Eligible new subscribers may be offered a one-week free trial. The purchase screen identifies the selected subscription, the free period, and the local price and billing period that begin when the trial ends. Your store account is not charged during the free period. Unless you cancel through Apple or Google Play before the trial ends, it automatically becomes the selected paid subscription and continues to renew at the disclosed interval and price. Store eligibility rules apply, and a trial may not be available if you previously used an introductory offer in the same subscription group or otherwise do not qualify.

Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Refunds, billing corrections, and subscription changes are handled under the rules of the store where you bought the subscription and any mandatory rights that apply where you live.

6. Your content and the licence we need

You retain ownership of content you create. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, transmit, transcribe, analyse, adapt, and display that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Squabble features you use. This licence lets us deliver a contribution to its intended participant and process it to provide the requested feature. It does not transfer ownership to us.

The licence ends when the content is deleted, except to the limited extent a copy remains temporarily in a protected backup, has been irreversibly de-identified, or must be preserved for a specific legal or safety reason. Account deletion removes associated user-generated content from the service, including content shared through Squabble, subject to those limited exceptions. We cannot delete copies another person made outside Squabble.

7. Recordings and other people's rights

You must have the rights and permissions needed for anything you record, say, or upload. Other participants know that contributions made through Squabble are recorded and processed as part of the service, but that does not replace any additional notice or consent required where you are. Do not record a bystander, use Squabble to capture someone without their knowledge, or upload a recording made outside Squabble unless you have the permissions required by law. Respect privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property, and publicity rights.

8. Acceptable use

You must not:

• break our community standards or use Squabble for unlawful, fraudulent, exploitative, abusive, or harmful activity;
• threaten, stalk, harass, impersonate, deceive, or disclose another person's private information;
• access another person's account, probe non-public systems, evade protective controls, or interfere with the service;
• scrape, bulk-download, resell, or commercially exploit Squabble or another user's content without permission;
• upload malware or use automated accounts, spam, manipulation, or deceptive engagement;
• infringe intellectual-property, privacy, recording, or other rights; or
• present a Squabble transcript, score, summary, or outcome as professional, legal, medical, financial, or factual advice.

9. Transcripts, outcomes, and availability

Transcripts, summaries, scores, and outcomes rely on automated processing. They can be incomplete, subjective, or wrong and are provided for discussion and entertainment. Use your own judgment and do not rely on them for important decisions.

During testing, features may change, fail, or be withdrawn. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, permanent storage of a contribution, a particular opponent, or a particular result. Keep your own lawful copy of anything important.

10. Moderation, reports, and enforcement

You can report content and accounts and block other users in Squabble. We may investigate content and account activity, remove or restrict content, limit discovery or features, suspend or close accounts, preserve relevant evidence, and notify appropriate authorities where reasonably necessary to operate the service, enforce these terms, comply with law, or protect people. We consider context, severity, repetition, credible risk, and account history, but cannot monitor every exchange.

Serious or urgent conduct may lead to immediate action without warning. Where appropriate, we will give a reason for a moderation decision and provide a way to appeal through our support page.

11. Third-party services and app stores

Squabble depends on mobile platforms and specialist providers, whose terms may also apply. Subscriptions and refunds are also subject to the rules of the store through which you made the purchase. On Apple platforms, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies in addition to these terms unless a different valid agreement is presented in the store listing. If a mandatory store term conflicts with these terms, the mandatory term applies to the extent of the conflict.

12. Suspension and ending the service

You may stop using Squabble at any time. We may suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach, a legal requirement, a security or safety risk, or discontinuation of the service. Where reasonable, we will explain the decision and any available appeal. Ending access does not remove payment obligations already due or cancel a store subscription; store cancellation remains a separate step.

13. Responsibility and liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your mandatory consumer rights. If we fail to use reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for loss that was a foreseeable result of that failure. We are not responsible for loss caused by your breach, another user, an inaccurate contribution or outcome, events outside our reasonable control, or business losses arising from use of a consumer service for commercial purposes, except where law requires otherwise.

14. Changes, law, and contact

We may update these terms as Squabble or applicable requirements change. We will give reasonable notice of a material change when appropriate. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, but you retain any mandatory consumer protections and rights to bring a claim available where you live.
